I loved carving this simple long handled gumbo spoon. It was rainy day and I was looking for a project to enjoy- carving is always a mindful experience. The straight lines and curvaceous bowl made the afternoon a memorable one. In fact, I'm looking forward to creating another.
This poplar gumbo spoon is 16" long, with a solid bowl for deep and heavy stirring. The spoon is finished with a food-safe mineral oil and bees-wax combination for luster and protection.
