Crafted of thicker wood (1"+), these hefty 5-framenucs are great all-year-round and are successful in over-wintering smaller beehives. Can be painted or treated with a poly-urethane upon request for no additional cost.
Each nuc is butt-jointed with decking screws for extra strength, with rabbited frame rests a fixed base and landing board as well as telescoping lid. Usually made of pine, but can be crafted of other woods depending on availability.
These winter-ready nuc boxes are made to order and available for pick up, though we will deliver within a reasonable distance.
