Large Oak & Maple Serving Tray
I truly loved crafting this reclaimed oak and maple serving tray this past winter. There were many firsts in this build for me, including shallow miters, a milled and formed surface and carved handles. To be honest, my wife is a little sad that it is up for sale. So, I promised her I'd build one for her.
Trust me, this sucker is built to last. The reclaimed hardwood surface is slip-fitted within the oak sides to protect against warping, and the mitered corners and edges are solid enough to take whatever accidents come their way.
The serving tray measures 14"x24"x1.75" and is perfect for presenting anything from drinks to dinner in bed. The tray is finished with a base mineral oil for sheen protection and a spar poly for defense against scrapes and bumps.
